A bookmark bar at the top (Option in settings)
The standard chrome "new-tab" shows the bookmark bar even when it is hidden while browsing. I miss that feature with Currently.
I want to avoid hitting shift + (ctrl or cmd) + b everytime when I open a new tab.
A checkbox to choose (if you want to show or hide the bookmark bar at the top) in the settings would be great! :)
Thanks for your beautiful extension!
A kind german Prost! to your good work.
We are looking to if this can be done.

Why is this not a thing yet? Three years and counting? If this doesn't get done I'm finding an extension with better functionality and passionate developers who work faster to replace Currently.
Yes, we need this!

I would love this so much. I use the bookmark bar a lot but I don't like it taking up space when I have tabs open. Even if it wasn't the native Chrome bookmarks bar but some other way of displaying bookmarks built in to Currently, I'd be very happy.
I think this would be better if it were tabs sticking out of the left side that pop up when you mouse over them.

This idea should be priority number 1. I hide the bookmarks bar a lot.

Any updates on this?

Hope this can be implemented!
I built my own Chrome extension to simply list my "must have" book marks since I found too many new tab replacements that just didn't get the job done. I love the look of Currently but I too won't be able to use it until I can at least have a link, button, anything to get me to my must have links (without showing then hiding the bookmark bar when viewing the tab).

Alternatively, I would be happy if there was a simple hotkey that would switch me back to the normal new tab screen.
This is the only thing keeping me from using Currently. I will keep coming back to check until this feature is added.
Thanks for the beautiful extension, guys.
